The Past
SNM Group, previously SATYA NARAYAN MAHESHWARI,
a whole sale trading firm at Kolkata and a market leader in cattle-feed, oil-seeds, food-grains,
oils and pulses, diversified its field in 1995 by setting up a Rice Industry at Balasore (Orissa).
Today, SNM Group possesses 2 large food processing complexes at Balasore, within a radius of 4 km
comprising a wide range of processing and production capabilities, ready to meet demand of its
customers and consumers.
The Present
The group is amongst one of the largest agro based
and other allied product manufacturers in Orissa with a capacitive production of over 1, 80,000 MT
(Metric tonne) annually. The product range includes varieties of Parboiled Rice, varieties of Raw
Rice, Puffed Rice, Double Filtered Expeller Oil, Solvent Oil, Refined Olien Oil, Refined Rice Bran
Oil, Refined Sesame Oil, Double Refined Groundnut Oil, Refined Mustard Oil, Idly Rawa, Rice Flour,
Rice Grit, Oil Cakes, De-oiled Cakes, De-oiled Rice Bran, Bio Mass Briquettes etc. The products are
available in bulk and consumer packaging and supplied throughout the country.
The Future
The Expansion and growth never stops at SNM group
and the group further plans to install a 5 Megawatt power plant and also a state of the art food packaging
unit by the year 2013.The group is also in process to enter into food grain packaging to add to its current
product list.
